A conversation between two prominent women who have both written extensively on perceptions of beauty, image, and power in contemporary media. Deborah Willis, PhD. is Chair of the Department of Photography & Imaging, Tisch School of the Arts, NYU. Willis was a 2005 Guggenheim Fellow and Fletcher Fellow, and a 2000 MacArthur Fellow. Adrienne L. Childs is an independent scholar, art historian and curator. She is an associate of the W.E.B DuBois Institute for the Study of African and African American Research at Harvard University.

General Admission tickets are sold only at the Museum and valid for the day of visitation.

In Person

Tickets can be purchased in person at the Museum's admission desk during regular Museum hours, excluding Saturdays.

Ticket Policies

  • If your ticket was emailed to you, present the ticket on your mobile device or print-out of your ticket.
  • If you selected “will call,” tickets will be waiting for you at our front desk will call station.
  • Ticket purchase for events at the Museum includes admission to the galleries on the day of the program.
  • Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Please note that seating is limited; we recommend purchasing tickets in advance.
  • Ticket holders are encouraged to arrive promptly, as seating is not guaranteed once a program has begun.
  • Tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded.
