Join us for a weekly series of in-depth explorations of select works of art on view in Scenes from the Collection, the Museum’s new exhibition featuring nearly 600 works from antiquities to contemporary art—many of which are on view for the first time.
Theresa Hioki, Education Associate, focuses on Kehinde Wiley’s 2011 portrait, Alios Itzhak and the artist’s practice of adapting traditional European motifs to explore contemporary issues of visibility, identity, and race.
