THE JEWISH MUSEUM INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Departments With Internships Currently Available:

Marketing Department, Marketing Intern

Fine Arts Department, Fine Arts Intern

The Jewish Museum offers an exciting opportunity for student interns to work directly in a museum that is dedicated to presenting, as well as preserving, the remarkable scope and diversity of Jewish history and culture. Internships for high school, undergraduate and graduate level students provide hands-on experiences in museum operations, as well as allow for students to relate these experiences to their academic and professional goals.

The JM offers fall, spring and summer-long internships. Time commitments range from as little as 10 hours per week to virtually full-time, depending on the student\'s interests and department\'s needs. Internships are generally unpaid. However, sometimes a small stipend is available to cover the cost of transportation. In addition, special funding is occassionally available to entirely underwrite a particular internship.

Types of departments that offer internships: Judaica, Fine Arts, Marketing, Public Relations, Media and Public Programs, Education, Finance, Archives, Information Services, Human Resources,Visitor Services, Volunteer Relations, etc. Interns have an opportunity to participate in brown-bag lunch professional development discussions with senior staff.

We look forward to hearing from you, and good luck!
