$object_summary = 'Limestone vessels with one or two handles and a spout were fairly common in Palestine during the Early and Middle Roman Periods, probably because stone could not be made impure. Ceramic vessels, on the other hand, which went unglazed at the time, seemed vulnerable to impurity due to their porous surfaces.
