JM 5-50' ; $object_summary = 'This burial plaque is richly decorated with Jewish symbols, most of which can be associated with Temple ritual objects or with festivals on which offerings were made at the Temple. Below the menorah are a root vegetable and a curved object, probably representing the shofar blown on the New Year. The rectangle above the menorah, meant to hold the inscription, is based on the form of a Roman standard, or sign.
