S 1431 ' ; $object_summary = 'In form and outer decoration, this Torah ark closely resembles contemporaneous Renaissance Italian furniture. It is only the painted inscriptions that show it is not an ordinary cabinet. On the exterior, a poem whose rhyme scheme is based on the word aron (ark) begins on the right side, continues across the front panels, and ends on the left side.
