1993-122 ' ; $object_summary = 'Mike and Doug Starn are a collaborative pair (twins) who are well-known for their innovative, sculptural approach to photography. In this piece, they have printed two hand-written pages from Anne Frank\'s diary onto film and then mounted them behind broken glass enclosed within what appears to be a hastily-constructed, unfinished frame.

The piece was commissioned by Leo Castelli on behalf of the American Friends of the Anne Frank Center to commemorate the sixtieth anniversary of the birth of Anne Frank. '; ?>
